Automatic run-up simulation for detecting critical speed and/or areas.

MNOISE provides an automatic run-up simulation for engine applications. Results of this run-up simulation are the well known Campbell diagrams for selected nodes or mean values over areas. The run-up simulation can be performed in 2 different ways:

  • Based on frequency response analyses
    This method delivers more accurate results, but all excitations for each rpm step must be known.

  • Based on frequency response analyses with random excitation
    This method needs as input the crank drive data and the combustion pressure at some rpm steps (supporting points) as input. The combustion pressures for other rpm steps will be interpolated.
    All other loads needed for the analysis will be derived from a substitute system.
